It is our goal to build unity amongst students who identify with the African American cultural and live in Northern Colorado by supporting them while they are developing a sense of who they are and their potential while giving back to the Fort Collins Community.
Our Target Audience:
African American students – “Travelers”
*Bi-racial and multi-racial students are invited as well as students who do not identify as African American but identify with the cultural.
- Elementary 3rd - 5th-grade students
- Middle School students
- High School students
- Selected Colorado State University students "Destination Leaders." All Destination Leaders will have gone through a background check prior to working with your child(ren).
Overview: This is a Precollege Mentoring program that will focus on 3 main points.
- Cultural Awareness
- Leadership Development
- Community Service
Selected college African American students will be paired with a group based on the grade of completion. They will meet once a month and discuss monthly topics.
