Fifty years of B/AACC legacy is a foundation, not a finish line! Your gift helps us go further. With your support, we can provide more mentoring, educational, and leadership development opportunities for students. This is how we build the next fifty years.
Try to remember what it was like being on campus for the first time.
Our Rites of Passage Mentoring Program (ROP) supports a cohort of incoming first-year and transfer students as they transition to campus. Our mentees get paired with an upperclass student who helps them develop skills for social and academic success.
Through mentorship, community gatherings, and workshops, students go deeper into African diasporic cultures and leadership theories in ways that build the foundation for thriving, not just surviving.

Mentorship doesn’t only happen between students. Their relationships with faculty also deeply matter to their learning and success.
Our Faculty Affiliate Program partners with faculty members to directly support the B/AACC community. They hold weekly office hours where students get intentional academic mentorship.
Our Faculty Affiliates also lead workshops and discussions rooted in research related to the African Diaspora and design learning opportunities that bring those topics to the wider Colorado community.

The Dr. Blanche Hughes B/AACC Legacy Fund ensures we can meet the growing needs of our students and remain a place where they can belong, lead, and succeed. Every dollar helps B/AACC show up for students in impactful ways.
This fund supports initiatives like our Care Corner, Student Organizational Excellence workshops, Real Talk discussions, and our Pursuits of Excellence end-of-year celebration.
Give to the Dr. Blanche Hughes B/AACC Legacy Fund and help sustain the meaningful, everyday work that makes B/AACC home.
