B.E.S.T Job Components to Consider
- Must have at least a 2.5 GPA to apply/continue working and be in good academic standing for the year
- Be able to attend mandatory weekly staff meetings (Thursdays at 8:00a – 9:30a)
- Must be in attendance for the duration of Fall Staff Training (Week of August 14th – 18th)
- Available to work up to 10 hours a week
- Pay Rate: $15/hr
- Must have access to Work Study (Need/Merit)

Lead Peer Coordinator (Not Hiring)
Qualifications
- Be organized and Accountable
- Self-Motivated
- Demonstrate leadership skills as well as critical thinking/problem solving skills
- Have worked in the office for at least one full year
- Mentor and Lead student staff, become a resource for their growth
Responsibilities
- Attend weekly meeting with Professional Staff
- Attend weekly B/AACC office meeting (Thursdays 8:00a – 9:30a)
- Meet weekly with ROP mentors
- Assist with ROP class planning
- Collect and review mentor logs
- Lead team building activities on retreat and at all staff meetings
- Coordinate staff dinners/outings
- Coordinate ROP outings/meetings
- 1st point of contact for BEST staff in general
- Assess office for efficiency
- Conduct office usage and climate surveys
- Coordinate the collection of data for selected programs
- Organize and Maintain the U:Drive…delegate this task and monitor
- Assist in developing and implementing programs and office plans
- Maintain confidentiality
Peer Coordinator - Dual Role (Hiring)
- Assist professional staff with coordination and implementation of B/AACC office programming
- Attend all Staff Trainings (Fall & Spring Semester)
- Attend weekly B/AACC office meeting (Thursdays 8:00a – 9:30a)
- Assist in maintaining inclusive and welcoming office environment
- Become familiar with important program details
- Serve as the liaison for all student initiated programs for the B/AACC office
- Must be able to work on more than one project at a time and complete the assigned tasks on schedule
- Attend B/AACC office programs
- Clerical Duties as assigned
- Clean office daily (after lunch and at end of the day)
- Abide by office expectations
Mentoring Responsibilities
- Attend the weekly Rites of Passage Leadership peer mentor meeting: (Mondays from 5pm – 6pm)
- Attend Rites of Passage retreat and all outings for the year
- Assist with the coordination and administrative details of the Peer Mentoring program including making recommendations for program changes
- Maintain weekly contact logs
- Communicate weekly with mentees
- Assist mentees with questions and concerns
- Other duties as assigned
Peer Mentors - Volunteer Role (Hiring)
- Attend the weekly Rites of Passage Leadership peer mentor class: 1 Credit Course (Mondays from 5pm – 6pm)
- Attend Rites of Passage retreat and all outings for the year
- Assist with the coordination and administrative details of the Peer Mentoring program including making recommendations for program changes.
- Attend all Staff Trainings (Fall & Spring Semester)
- Attend weekly B/AACC office meeting (Thursdays 7:45am – 9:15am)
- Maintain weekly contact logs
- Communicate weekly with mentees
- Assist mentees with questions and concerns
- Attend other B/AACC office programs
- Other duties as assigned

Content Creator/Graphic Designer
- Assist professional staff with coordination and implementation of B/AACC office programming.
- Attend weekly B/AACC office meeting (Thursdays 8:00a – 9:30a)
- Demonstrable multimedia graphic design skills with a portfolio
- Up to date with industry leading software and technologies (In Design, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, etc.) – not required but highly encouraged
- Create all B/AACC print and online advertising materials and update all advertising on website, social media outlets, and posters/handbills/brochures
- Update the design of the GRIOT and complete each issue once all articles are received from student staff and other students.
- Help create and maintain fresh and up-to-date social media presence on multiple platforms
- Weekly/Daily post for social media to stay current and connected with students/alumni/faculty & staff/community member, etc.
- Abide by office expectations
- Clean office daily (after lunch and at end of the day)
- Clerical duties as assigned
